Vera Johns

Vera Johns , is a self taught watercolour artist who lived and painted in London, exhibiting at various venue including the RWS galleries. She began by painting flowers, mostly botanical, then graduated to painting wedding bouquets as a keepsake for brides and their families. After moving to Devon with her family she developed her range to include landscapes inspired by the Devon countryside and its unique light. She has exhibited in many venues in the south West. Vera has collected together flower and landscape paintings that she has created over the past years, taking inspiration from Dartmoor and her own wonderful garden. She has used vibrant watercolours and broad brushstrokes but has achieved a delicacy that sets her pictures apart.

Painting in watercolours, Vera Johns has reached a high degree of expertise in her portrayal of landscapes and flowers.She has recently been experimenting with the addition of pastels to create new depths to her work.
